UAE Pledges Support for Pakistan's Smog Mitigation Efforts

The United Arab Emirates has expressed its readiness to cooperate with Pakistan in sharing artificial rain technology to combat the pressing issue of smog This commitment was made by the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi during an interview with PTV.



Ambassador Al Zaabi emphasized the UAE unwavering support for Pakistan environmental efforts He highlighted that the collaboration between the two countries in utilizing advanced artificial rain technology could be a significant step forward in addressing the environmental challenges posed by the recurring smog problem.


The ambassador noted that the innovative approach of artificial rain can be a vital tool in the fight against smog as it has the potential to bring cleaner air to the affected communities He mentioned that the UAE has successfully deployed specialized helicopters equipped with artificial rain capabilities in previous years to help mitigate the smog issue in Pakistan.


Ambassador Al Zaabi reaffirmed the UAE commitment to supporting its brotherly country Pakistan in addressing this critical environmental concern He expressed the UAE eagerness to collaborate with Pakistani authorities to bring relief to the affected communities through this innovative solution.


This offer from the UAE comes at a crucial time as several cities in Pakistan including Lahore Multan and Peshawar have been grappling with severe smog problems. The utilization of the UAE advanced artificial rain technology could play a significant role in improving air quality and providing relief to the residents.

China and the United Arab Emirates want to strengthen their cooperation on China's Belt and Road Initiative BRI. The BRI aims to improve connectivity and cooperation between Eurasian countries.
