Celebrating Emirati-Pakistani Ties: UAE Diplomats in Karachi
In a display of the strong ties between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan the UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Saleem Al Zaabi and the Consul General in Karachi, Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi, celebrated their country's 53rd National Day in Karachi. The diplomats visited various locations, engaging with the local community and commemorating the special occasion.
The UAE officials started their day by visiting the Convent Jesus and Mary School in Karachi where they attended a ceremony organized by the schoolchildren to mark the UAE National Day. The ambassador and consul general were warmly welcomed by the students who expressed their happiness at the presence of the Emirati diplomats.
Continuing their celebrations, the UAE representatives boarded the Sindh government public buses which were specially decorated for the occasion. They distributed traditional Emirati beverages such as Kehwa (Arabic coffee) and dates to the passengers who appreciated the gesture and the opportunity to share in the festivities.
Later the UAE Ambassador and Consul General visited the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry where they cut a cake with the local traders to commemorate the national day. In their interaction with the business community Ambassador Al Zaabi praised the traders describing them as the backbone of the country and highlighting the importance of their contributions.
These events showcase the strong and enduring relationship between the UAE and Pakistan. The presence of the Emirati diplomats in Karachi celebrating with students commuters and business leaders, underscores the depth of the bilateral ties and the shared cultural and economic interests between the two nations.
The celebrations in Karachi are a testament to the ongoing efforts by both countries to strengthen their partnership across various sectors, from education and culture to trade and investment.
