UAE Delegation Visits Japan to Promote Trade Relations

The United Arab Emirates delegation led by H.E. Alia Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Entrepreneurship visited Japan. The goal of the visit was to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries. 


The UAE and Japan have historically good political and economic relations. Both countries want to further develop trade and business partnerships. During the visit, the delegation aimed to explore new opportunities for small and medium enterprises or SMEs in UAE and Japan. Cooperating in this area will help both economies.


The delegation participated in CEATEC exhibition in Japan. CEATEC is one of the largest technology and innovation events in the country. It gives a platform for startups and companies to showcase new ideas and technologies. The UAE delegation discussed ways to boost digital transformation of businesses with their Japanese counterparts. They also networked with SMEs from both sides to develop commercial ties.


In recent years, bilateral relations between the UAE and Japan have strengthened across many fields like trade, investment, energy, technology and more. Last year, 23 agreements were signed between the two nations to enhance cooperation in these sectors. Both see great potential to diversify their economies and support innovation through partnership. 


The visit highlights the growing strategic partnership between the UAE and Japan. It aimed to promote entrepreneurship and find investment opportunities for small businesses in both markets. Participating in CEATEC gave insights on latest technologies and allowed connecting entrepreneurs from the two countries.


Stronger collaboration on SMEs technology and digital transformation through such high level visits will benefit the trade relationship between the UAE and Japan. It can lead to more joint projects knowledge sharing and business deals between companies of the two allies.

Strengthening China UAE Ties through Joint Cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative

China and the United Arab Emirates want to strengthen their cooperation on China's Belt and Road Initiative BRI. The BRI aims to improve connectivity and cooperation between Eurasian countries. Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan recently met with UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai.
