UAE elected to key Asian anti-corruption body



The UAE has been elected as a member of the Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions OSAI for Asia OSAI is composed of supreme audit institutions aiming to strengthen good governance through auditing public finances.


Based in Malaysia the inter governmental organization currently has 19 member countries It works to develop the professional capacities of Asian supreme audit institutions in areas such as accountability  transparency and anti corruption measures. 


As a new member the UAE will be able to actively participate in OSAI initiatives which also focus on sustainable development fighting illicit money flows and ensuring sound public spending. 


The UAE State Audit Institution plays a vital role in protecting public funds and resources through performance and financial audits It adopts global best practices and modern auditing standards set by international bodies.


Membership to OSAI will offer networking opportunities to share knowledge and experiences with peer audit institutions joint training programs, as well as technical cooperation on innovative audit methodologies.


This election recognizes the UAE respected role in promoting integrity and openness in public administration regionally It will support the country commitment to uphold highest standards of governance and fiscal propriety both domestically and internationally.
