Prominent Pakistanis Honoured in Dubai

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence recently honoured several distinguished Pakistanis in Dubai Cricket legend Shahid Afridi squash champion Jahangir Khan and hockey star Shahbaz Ahmed were among those recognised for their contributions. The event celebrated Pakistan 77th independence day and highlighted the strong UAE and Pakistan relationship. 


Sheikh Nahyan praised the culturaleconomic, and social ties between the two countriesHe said both nations are committed to cooperation and progress Faisal Niaz Tirmizi Pakistani ambassador to the UAE also thanked the UAE leadership for hosting the celebrations Several expat Pakistanis received awards for their achievements and community service in Dubai. 


The celebrations included performances of Pakistani music and dances People enjoyed traditional cuisine and explored handicraft exhibitions Many families came dressed in green and white to mark the occasion The crowds also honoured Arshad Nadeem for winning Pakistan's first Olympic gold medal in javelin throwing. 


The event provided an opportunity for Emiratis and Pakistanis to strengthen their friendship Emirati guest Ahmed Al Mazrooqi said Pakistanis have greatly contributed to building the UAE Long time Dubai resident Farzana Yasmeen came despite her wheelchair to blend the community feeling Younger attendees like Nashmia Rashid saw it as a learning experience for their children about Pakistani heritage.


Apart from sports icons professionals in various fields also received awards. These included a doctor engineer chef social entrepreneurs architect and Mount Everest climber all recognized for excelling in their domains and serving the community. 


The celebrations reflected the brotherly bond and joint vision between the UAE and Pakistan to advance development globally It allowed expat Pakistanis to showcase their proud culture and bond over their national achievements.

Strengthening China UAE Ties through Joint Cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative

China and the United Arab Emirates want to strengthen their cooperation on China's Belt and Road Initiative BRI. The BRI aims to improve connectivity and cooperation between Eurasian countries. Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan recently met with UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai.
