UAE and UN Talk About Working Together For A Better Future

Leaders from the United Arab Emirates recently met with people from the United NationsThey talked about how to make the world better for everyone.


The meeting was part of an important UN event called the High Level Political Forum. At this forum many countries discuss their plans for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs. 


The SDGs are a list of objectives to improve life by 2030They cover things like health, education equality and protecting the planet The UN Deputy Secretary General was at the meeting.


She and the UAE delegates spoke about how to speed up work on the SDGs in the next six years The UAE wants to help reach the SDG targets as fast as possible.


By cooperating closely the UAE and UN believe they can find good solutions Working together as partners will help make positive change happen more quickly.  


Many challenges around the world need collaboration The meeting was about building understanding to create a better sustainable future for all.

Strengthening China UAE Ties through Joint Cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative

China and the United Arab Emirates want to strengthen their cooperation on China's Belt and Road Initiative BRI. The BRI aims to improve connectivity and cooperation between Eurasian countries. Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan recently met with UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai. They discussed ways for China and the UAE to jointly promote the BRI.  Both countries see opportunities to collaborate on infrastructure projects related to transport, ports and trade under the BRI. As a major trade and business hub, the UAE can help connect China to other parts of Asia, Africa and Europe.
