UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Awarded Inaugural Prize For Global Humanitarian Efforts
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has been awarded the first ever Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) Global Humanitarian Personality Award in recognition of his decades of humanitarian leadership and efforts to aid vulnerable communities worldwide.
The award was presented to Sheikh Mohamed at PAM's 18th Plenary Session held in Braga, Portugal. Sheikh Mohamed was selected for establishing the new AED 20 billion Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Initiative to support humanitarian causes globally on the 20th anniversary of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Under Sheikh Mohamed's direction, the UAE has also provided billions of COVID-19 vaccine doses to countries in need through the Hope Consortium and over $6 billion in aid to conflicts like Syria and Yemen since 2015. PAM President Hon.
