UAE: Dubai ranked No.1 globally for attracting greenfield acting FDI project for third successive years
The UAE's city of Dubai has been ranked number one globally for attracting foreign direct investment FDI projects for the third consecutive year. According to the FDI Market Report published by EY, Dubai secured 127 greenfield FDI projects in 2022. Greenfield FDI projects refer to investments made to build new facilities and operations from the ground up. This is a testament to Dubai's pro-business environment, world-class infrastructure, and strategic location which makes it an attractive investment destination.
Some key sectors that attracted the most FDI projects to Dubai included business services, transportation and logistics, construction and real estate.
